AllMusic Review by

This Italian compilation presents 20 studio recordings (originally released by Decca Records) of songs Bing Crosby sang in films between 1932 and 1945. Eight were #1 hits-"Please," "Pennies From Heaven," "Sweet Leilani," "The Moon Got In My Eyes," "I've Got A Pocketful Of Dreams," "Only Forever," "White Christmas," and "Swinging On A Star"-and two others, "I Wished On The Moon" and "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive" (with the Andrews Sisters), just missed the top spot, so the album doubles as a hits collection. The disc is filled out by interesting selections such as Hoagy Carmichael's "Moonburn" (the composer's first contribution to the movies), Rodgers and Hart's "Down By The River," and a duet with Bob Hope on "Road To Morocco."
