AllMusic Review by Andy Kellman

One of the finest live albums of the '70s (Gratitude) and an archival release that documents the same period (That's the Way of the World: Alive in '75, originally issued in 2002) are economically combined on this two-for-one release via Sony's Legacy division. The latter disc, pieced together with selections made by Maurice White, isn't of the same caliber as the earlier one, but listeners do get versions of "Kalimba Story" and "That's the Way of the World." Overall, this is a thoroughly enjoyable double dose of Earth, Wind & Fire in their creative prime. The discs are in jewel cases, slipped into a basic and functional cardboard sleeve.
