Although Good Old Country looks like a decent ten-song collection of country singer Donna Fargo's hits on first glance, reading the fine print on the back of the CD (which you always should do when buying a budget collection like this) tells a different story. Instead of Fargo's classic-'70s versions of "Funny Face" and "The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.," we are subjected to re-recorded versions from an unspecified later date. Although Fargo's voice sounds okay, the arrangements aren't very good and as a whole these new versions are pale imitations. Look for a collection that contains only the original recordings instead.
