As is true with the previous dozen CDs in this fun if slightly confusing series, this disc has music from a variety of British and Scandinavian trad bands from the '50s and early '60s. It is a pity that there are no liner notes and that the sessions were not reissued complete and in chronological order, but the music is quite fun overall. Eight bands perform the 19 selections: Acker Bilk & His Paramount Jazz Band, Ken Colyer, the Monty Sunshine Trio, Henrik Johansen, Lennie Baldwin's Dauphine Street Six, Adrian Bentzon, Papa Bue's Viking Jazzband, and Chris Barber. Highlights include "A Monday Date," "Shine," "Oriental Man," and "Tiger Rag."
