AllMusic Review by

This expansive ten-disc set surveying pop music’s modern vocal era includes such romantic ballads and classic sides as Roy Orbison's “Crying,” Ray Charles' “Georgia on My Mind,” Brenda Lee's “I’m Sorry,” Rick Nelson's “Poor Little Fool,” Jimmie Rodgers' “Honeycomb,” Perry Como's “Catch a Falling Star,” Don Gibson's “Oh Lonesome Me,” Patti Page's “The Tennessee Waltz,” Bobby Vinton's “Blue Velvet,” and Skeeter Davis' “The End of the World,” among many, many others, and like all of the Time Life issues, it comes assembled with great care and sound.
