AllMusic Review by

This is the definitive American collection of music by Nana Mouskouri, the Greek singer who became a chanteuse of world music and especially French pop. Form the earliest tracks like "Ave Maria" and her gorgeous reading of Simon & Garfunkel's "Scarborough Fair," to Georges Bizet's "Habanera" and even Edwin Hawkins' "Oh Happy Day!" All of these appear on the first disc, but it's on disc two where the collection gets moving with her readings of "The Rose," "Prelude un Enfant," and, of course, Michel LeGrand's "Quand on S'Aime." Gold is simply high quality in 24-bit remastered sound from beginning to end.
