AllMusic Review by

Goflex is Randomiz' first long-form (well, actually not that long) release for A-Music, following his wonderfully kludgey recast of labelmate Schlammpeitziger on the latter's "Freundlichbarracudaremix" 10-inch. Unlike that track, however, Goflex is extremely dense; Randomiz here approaches songwriting in a vertical rather than horizontal or linear fashion, piling dizzying, disorienting sequences of melodic decay atop one another and giving only the slightest of rhythmic clues as to where the music's center might be. The result makes for fascinating -- though occasionally tedious and exhausting -- listening; the best of it places Randomiz next to fellow K├Âlners Marcus Schmickler and Mouse on Mars as among the most interesting of the city's current bumper-crop of musical innovators.
