Possibly the best Pearl Jam single outside of Jeremy, Go features three of the band's most solid tracks during this period. The title track is possibly the heaviest song they have ever written, and is suitably raging and angry. The acoustic version of "Elderly Woman" is another treat, featuring trembling vocals and a stripped down arrangement that gives the song a different feel. And, finally, "Alone" is a jagged, bouncing rocker that showcases the tricky dynamics they were capable of with this lineup. As far as inexpensive samplers go, this is as good as Pearl Jam gets, so this is highly recommended.
