Indie may or may not be big in Slovakia, the home of Longital, but they're certainly exporting their sound. The duo of Daniel Salontay and Shina, along with their trusty X-di-nim (minidisk), cover a lot of bases on their seventh CD. The sound is polished, but full of variety. They can slip from the prog rock pyrotechnics of "An Nahodou" to the ethereal slip and slide of "Berlin-Grenoble-Aries," or use a sample of what sounds like a cat purring behind "My Dve." However, those are the real high points of the disc. There are other brief moments that stand out, but they're few and far between -- a bit too much so, unfortunately. The ideas are there, but too often they don't gel into good songs that stay in the brain. It would have been better to have had a shorter disc with more focused music.
