AllMusic Review by

An interesting assortment of '60s rock rarities here, not all garage, as many of these compilations tend to be. Los Shakers (from Uruguay) offer a close early Beatle imitation; the Primates fuse garage with Merseybeat; Mad River's scarifying "Orange Fire" is one of their rarest and best tracks (from an indie EP); the Accent's "Red Sky at Night"/"Winds of Change" is British flower-power psychedelia at its darkest, and must have been reissued more times than almost any other flop single by a '60s band that managed only one 45. It's a good compilation, but rates a little lower than it might otherwise, because most of the best tracks have since appeared on more craftily assembled reissues that are easier to find than this one, which was a limited edition of 500.
