AllMusic Review by

This fine LP (released in 1956 but available into the 1980s) puts the emphasis on the jazz side of Glenn Miller's Orchestra. The 12 instrumentals (taken from radio broadcasts) feature such fine soloists as trumpeters Clyde Hurley, Johnny Best and Bobby Hackett, clarinetist Ernie Caceres, Tex Beneke on tenor and even a bit of the leader's trombone. Highlights include "One O'Clock Jump," a racehorse version of "Tiger Rag," Hackett's playing on "April in Paris," "Everybody Loves My Baby" and "Are You Rusty, Gate."
