AllMusic Review by Steve Leggett

This is a decidedly non-crucial collection of tracks from contemporary dancehall pioneer Sugar Minott. While the sequence is pleasant and probably worth it for die-hard fans, only a couple of the cuts here add anything of major substance to Minott's canon. "Musical Murder" has the kind of lyrical clarity that marks the best of his work, while the rolling beat of "Rocking from Dusk Till Dawn" adds a fresh wrinkle to the synth-heavy beats Minott favors. Lacking key tracks like "Herbman Hustling," "Never Gonna Give Up Jah," and "Dancehall Business," this compilation can hardly be considered essential, but Minott's wise and cultural voice makes it far from expendable.
