Quick Fix takes the bravado and swagger of '70s rock bands like Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep, and filters it through the straight-faced goth rock of Gene Loves Jezebel. This makes for quite an interesting listen, as the results tend to jump back and forth between generic hard rock and atmospheric stoner metal. On tracks like the epic "Stoned," the band gets it right, blending space rock trippiness and Jake Zavracky's paranoid vocals with thick, distorted blues riffs. But on the flip side of that coin, songs like "Rampage" never quite gel, leading to what essentially sounds like a bad hair metal band. And then there is "Waster," the self deprecating heartland ballad that brings to mind a more serious Camper Van Beethoven. When Quick Fix is on, they are dead on; they just need to flesh out their sound more. Get Yours is the sound of a band trying to discover what makes them tick, and it shows a huge amount of potential just waiting to be capitalized on.
