AllMusic Review by

This soundtrack to the Kirsten Dunst/Sisqo contribution to the long running genre of horny teen movies reaches out to as many of the varied segments within the teen demographic as possible. There's a little Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera-style girl pop (Shorty 101's perky "Get With Me," Mikaila's "Perfect World"), and something avant-garde yet accessible, in this case a Fatboy Slim remix ("Sho 'Nuff,").

Winsome alternative guitar pop rock, in the shape of American Hi-Fi's "Another Perfect Day," the Wondermints' sublime "Arnoldo Said," and Caviar's "Wild Thing" rewrite "Goldmine," is also present. Oldies are used as an ironic counterpoint, in this case the Captain And Tennille's production triumph "Love Will Keep Us Together," and Elvis Costello's "Alison," still one of the angriest love songs. Bottom line: A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
