AllMusic Review by

Sweet captivating sounds from the Esquires of Milwaukee, WI. This glorious import CD contains 23 tracks of essentials, with the only obvious omission being "Girls in the City," recorded on Lamar Records. Everyone's familiar with "Get on Up," but it's the B-sides and obscure A-sides that make you exhale. Underappreciated and under-promoted gems -- "Woman," "The Feeling Is Gone," "Why Can't I Stop," "No Doubt About It," "Listen to Me" and "Everybody's Laughing" -- are strong. The main ingredient is Gilbert Moorer's unbelievably high, honey-sweet falsetto, but they also had an able tenor, baritone and deep voiced Mill Edwards' booming bottom, which often counterpointed Moorer's high tones. Includes chart entries "Get on Up," "And Get Away," the exciting "You Got the Power" and "You Say."
