AllMusic Review by

An album of the relatively unknown Georgian polyphonic singing style. While it has gained some ground in recent years, Georgian polyphony is always less often heard than other similar regional styles of choral singing. Georgian Polyphany, Vol. 2, from the ultra-massive archives of JVC-King-Victor in Japan, features the boys choir of Sakartvelo, in the region of Martve. The recording quality is surprisingly good, a rarity for recordings of such large choirs, which are generally done in cavernous churches with echoes killing the fidelity. There are a few other albums of Georgian polyphony available, and some may prove more accessible (the liner notes and cultural inclusions in the Multicultural Media album are particularly nice). This one's nice, but probably not the best.
