AllMusic Review by

George Harrison was billed as the Quiet Beatle, but as Martin Scorsese's 208-minute documentary on Harrison's life, 2011's George Harrison: Living in the Material World, showed, Harrison was much more complicated than that, emerging as a passionate, firm, stubborn, humorous, spiritual, and fascinatingly enigmatic man and musician. This deluxe box set of the biopic includes both DVD and Blu-ray editions of the film, along with a lavish photo book, several stand-alone glossy photos of Harrison, and a CD of alternate takes and demos of songs like "All Things Must Pass" and "Awaiting on You All," plus other rarities, most notably a demo cover version of Bob Dylan's "Mama You've Been on My Mind." A beautiful set.
