The Deep Beats two-fer disc pairing 1980's Gayle Adams with 1982's Love Fever practically functions as her complete recordings for Prelude -- though the missing tracks are the extended 12" mixes that most disco fans prize above any other. Still, both of Adams' biggest hits, "Stretch'in Out" and "Love Fever," are found here, along with her other solid performance, "Your Love Is a Life Saver." The rest of the tracks are par for the course or worse, most of them simple variations on forms heard on many a disco track previously. Far better to look for "Stretch'in Out" or "Love Fever" on compilations -- Prelude's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 for the first, and the fourth volume of the same series for the latter.
