This double CD (which lists the musicians but, strangely enough, not their instruments) has music from three different sets that took place at the 1995 Concord Jazz Festival. Singer Karrin Allyson scats and swings her way through five songs ("Stardust" and "No More Blues" are the best); tenor great Scott Hamilton heads a quintet with trombonist Joel Heleny and the constantly riffing pianist Gerry Wiggins on a blues and four standards; and the Concord Jazz Festival All-Stars is featured throughout the second disc. The latter group has tenorman Rickey Woodard (in good form), trumpeter Randy Sandke, saxophonist Chris Potter, pianist Benny Green, guitarist Howard Alden, bassist Ray Brown and either Greg Hutchenson or Louie Bellson on drums. Most everyone gets featured throughout the fine two-fer, which acts as a worthwhile sampler of Concord's brand of modern mainstream jazz.
