AllMusic Review by David Jeffries

Now this is crafty. Although it looks like a better bargain than the show's official soundtracks, Fuhgeddaboudit! Music You Heard on the Sopranos goes for the cheapest versions of the tracks it can. Many of the songs here are not the same versions heard on the show. The Jefferson Airplane track is from a live show that's fallen into the public domain, the faceless BB Band and other studio orchestras play lackluster versions of the instrumental tracks, and some of the other songs are re-recordings. Worst of all, the theme is not done by the original A3 but by somebody named Mask, an ironic band name that shows plenty of gall. Not for nuthin', but this is a ripoff. (If you accidentally end up with the set, at least check the live, blooper-filled performance of "Call Me Irresponsible" by Frank Sinatra before making it sleep with the fishes.)
