As figurehead of Compost Records as well as an anchor artist under the alias Beanfield, Michael Reinboth has quietly helped to define the acid jazz/downtempo/broken beat movement one release at a time. His contribution to the Fueled for the Future series spares little time in getting down to business, starting with the Amalgamation of Soundz and tearing through several Compost and Jazzanova classics (several of which are his own) before peaking with the anthemic Trüby Trio tune "Carajillo" (lovingly remixed by Jazzanova). It's not as strong as some of the other releases in the series -- but an average release on Compost is an outstanding release for any other label.
