An ample serving of Sister Sledge, but hardly a hunger buster; 18 tracks doesn't exactly constitute an all you can listen to buffet, and some lesser A-sides, i.e., their update of "My Guy," is outside looking in. This is noted because if you want this baby you're gonna spend around $50 -- after factoring in shipping and handling -- if you cop from an Internet retailer, and probably more if you don't. Where's Napster when you need them? For that piggy bank-busting price you get most that you expect, some you don't, and a few pre- and post-Nile Rodgers/Bernard Edwards tracks. Alright, but you can get the gist of Sister Sledge much cheaper by looking for something that say "greatest hits" or "best of." This is a Japanese import; those import taxes must be a real mutha.
