AllMusic Review by

The late '60s threw up numerous obscure and bizarre records in which it was difficult to tell whether the musicians were trying to exploit psychedelia or emulate it. This album -- here credited to L'Experience 9, although it's identical to the somewhat more widely known album Attention that's billed to Les Maledictus Sound -- is one of those. While certainly eclectic, it's as contrived as it is exotic. Easy listening-friendly orchestral pop strings dally with Chipmunks-like voices, screaming psychedelic guitar, actual screams, go-go horns, classical-like guitar, churchy organ, good-time vaudeville, and assorted odd drop-ins of weird sounds. It sounds like an appropriate soundtrack for a period psychploitation movie. Credited to Les Maledictus Sound and bearing the Attention title, the album was reissued on CD by Mucho Gusto with the addition of an eight-minute bonus track, "L'Etrange Monsieur Whinster."
