DAF's final album for Virgin, Für Immer is another set of spare synth-pop, defiantly non-melodic though not exactly harsh. While Görl's productions usually balance a steady four-four beat with upbeat, repetitive synth progressions and only occasional organic elements, Lopez is all over the place, either sing-speaking in a guttural chant ("A Little Bit of War," "The Gods Are White") or practically crooning like Marc Almond ("In the Jungle of Love," "Fall in Love with Me"). Neither member of DAF contributes much to the album, and except for scattered highlights like "Kebab Dreams," Für Immer is a disappointing album.
