AllMusic Review by

The swing revivalists of the late '90s never really caught on to the W's, but Fourth from the Last is catchy and well played, although the band's unpredictable hybrid of swing, ska, and rockabilly is not as easily digested as the music (and image) of their zoot-suited contemporaries. While most of the songs fixate on hip teenage subjects, such as surfers and polyester kings, "Moses" and "The Devil Is Bad" reflect the band's faith with humor and ingenuity.
