A quick look at the tracks alone may lead one to believe that this collection of songs by the legendary Drifters is a pretty solid roundup of their hits. Don't let that fool you. Take a look at the photo on the front cover. Those four guys may or not be the Drifters (especially with the group's amazing history of personnel changes). Whomever they are, they certainly massacre the group's greatest hits. Over weak rinky-dink synthesizer-led music, some tired old guys croak out the words to "Under the Boardwalk" and "Save the Last Dance for Me" and 12 other songs that have likely never sounded worse. Travesty is the word that leaps to mind. Criminal is another. Simply put: DO NOT BUY THIS CD!
