As the St. Clair label thankfully notes on the cover of this shoddy package, Forever Gold contains "New stereo recordings by the original artists." These versions are fronted by William Hart, and the performances are spirited, but they're simply nowhere near the standard heard on the proper studio albums. These and other re-recordings have been recycled on additional releases from St. Clair, as well as ones from labels like San Juan, Music Avenue, and Excalibur. Avoid them all and look for releases by Kent and the Sony-affiliated Legacy.
