The 11 songs included in this brief collection, songs that range from the rather straightforward and pop-philisophical "Let's Live for Today" by the Grass Roots to the hazy, mild pop psychedelia of the Cowsills' "The Rain, The Park & Other Things," and the cartoonish bounce of Crispian St. Peters' "The Pied Piper," seem stuck in time like so many specks of matter preserved in amber, which means it's either the perfect short play list for a nostalgic Saturday afternoon run to the store or it's the last thing on earth you really want to hear. It all depends on your mood. Sometimes it's great to hear "Lazy Day," which is included here, by Spanky & Our Gang. Sometimes it exactly describes the day. That's when you break out this little sequence, on those lazy days when a flashback will help.
