At a bargain-basement price you get 16 Chiffons tracks you've probably never heard before. Among the bounty are B-sides, releases that stiffed, demos, tracks that never emerged, and quickly pulled promo releases. To keep the hits going, their recording company tried the sweet-singing ladies on a variety of cuts, including obvious knockoffs like "Up on the Bridge," the wolf-warning "He's a Bad One," and whimsical numbers like "Lucky Me." Some experimentation took place and a few tracks display their voices in full bloom. But on the whole these tracks lacked oomph. Die-hard Chiffons aficionados, however, will appreciate the effort.
