Renaissance reissued Flash and the Pan's first two albums, Flash and the Pan and Lights in the Night, on a single disc in 1997. The group's first album is one of the great lost records of the new wave era, even if it all sounds a bit similar. The second album isn't quite as strong, but has its moments, and its presence helps make this disc valuable to hardcore fans of Flash and the Pan (or Vanda/Young, for that matter) and new wave fetishists.
