The Raven label has released a lot of interesting compilations of '60s Australian rock, but this is a dud. Five songs apiece are given to Ronnie Burns, the Cherokees, the Vibrants, and the Grooves, none of whom are at all noteworthy. It's average, or below-average, '60s pop-rock, with little in the way of either material or style that makes an impression. The Cherokees are about the best of the bunch; the Grooves' bland blue-eyed soul, however, is downright disagreeable.
