This isn't a classic or essential LP, but does include some prototype up-tempo shouters and smoldering ballads. Tina Turner was generally unhappy with the material being picked during this period, and her performances were wildly erratic. The backing, especially on the up-tempo tunes, could be exciting, particularly when Ike Turner was inspired. But there was little on this album that they didn't do better elsewhere, and Tina never got going on any of the cuts.
