Feelings on a Screen Review

by Sean Cooper

Following the excellent Desktop Robotics double EP by only a week, Bochum Welt's "Feelings on a Screen" is, not surprisingly, made of similar materials: vague, plastic-sounding rhythms, smiling, bouncy melodies, and warm, slingshot basslines. Di Costanzo's new-wave past bubbles a bit too close to the surface here, however, his passing fascination for thin, playschool beats suffering under the weight of unfortunately cringe-worthy early-'80s DM/New Order references that aren't even that funny, really.
