Fearless, the 2000 Metro 1 Music release from Southern California native Crystal Lewis, features the singer's trademark "big voice" paired with a musical style that is a combination of CCM, adult contemporary, and Christian pop. While the project is not her strongest effort, following on the heels of two of her best albums, Beauty for Ashes and Gold, it definitely has its highlights. These include "I Still Believe," written by Kirk Franklin, "Kiss & Tell," and Lewis' re-recording of her hit "Only Fools." "I Still Believe," a song also included on Touched By an Angel: A Christmas Album, is rhythmically driven, featuring a prominent beat. However, while this is so, the song itself is not fast-paced but rather slow and determined. "Kiss & Tell" is bathed in electric guitar whereas "Only Fools" has grown from an acoustic piece into a synthesized number.
