One of the founding bands of Christian rock, Petra was formed by guitarist Bob Hartman in the early 1970s, and has proceeded to spread the word of Jesus for more than 30 years, enduring various line-up changes along the way. This 2005 farewell concert features the revered group in its John Schlitt-fronted, metal-leaning incarnation, running through hard-rocking songs such as "Dance" and "Creed." As a surprise for longtime fans, this live set also presents appearances by former members Greg Volz (vocals) and John Lawry (keyboards), who both join the band on its classic "Grave Robber." Although the performance is a somewhat bittersweet event, it's an appropriately celebratory send-off for this pioneering act.
