Face Value features unseen performances, home movies, and archival footages of the studio sessions that went into the making of Phil Collins' first, and arguably best, solo album. Interviews with Collins, engineer Hugh Padgham, and other musicians and candid performances in the studio give more insight into how songs such as "In the Air Tonight," "The Roof Is Leaking," "If Leaving Me Is Easy," and "Please Don't Ask" came into being. Despite its lack of extra features on the DVD version, Face Value remains an informative and entertaining addition to the collections of Phil Collins fans.
