The psychedelic Latin pop of Los Angeles Negros is showcased on Exitos, Vol. 1. The group's emotive delivery and bizarre instrumentation may appeal to fans of the genre, but the group does rely on the same song structure for several of the tracks. This makes the album rather dull in spots; so many of the songs blend together because of this issue that casual listeners may be turned off. Still, fans of the group as well as curious genre fans may want to give this a listen; there is still enough interesting material to give an idea of what the group was attempting.
