Perhaps no artist of the post-Beatles era is better known for and summarized by greatest-hits collections than Bob Marley, whose landmark Legend compilation remains a back catalog best-seller year after year -- which raises the question of precisely what purpose Starbucks/Hear Music's 17-track Marley overview Everything's Gonna Be Alright really serves. After all, it's a safe bet your average Starbucks consumers already carry Legend in their iPods or in the CD players of their SUVs, and while the two discs aren't identical in terms of content, there's more than enough overlap to render the coffee giant's version moot. As for the content itself, you know what to expect if you've ever attended a frat party or stumbled upon a drum circle -- "Three Little Birds," "Redemption Song," "I Shot the Sheriff," etc. You'll need a goddamn cup of coffee to keep you awake as you hear these too-familiar songs for the umpteenth time.
