For the casual fan, the title says it all. While the record business, being what it is, is often guilty of advertising so falsely that it's a blatant lie, AIM Marketing are always reliable and here remarkably true to their word. This set offers the original versions of every hit single Ike & Tina Turner recorded between 1960 and 1974. There are 22 cuts here, each of them a smash either regionally or nationally, from "River Deep, Mountain High" and their signature version of "Proud Mary" to the Beatles' "Come Together," the early hits like covers of Johnny Otis' "So Fine" and Andre Williams' "Shake a Tail Feather," and originals like "I Wanna Jump" and "We Need an Understanding." About the only criticism that can be made here is that these tracks aren't presented in chronological order, but that's easy to forgive since they make such aesthetic sense in this context. This set is highly recommended for anyone who doesn't already possess all of these cuts.
