Evergreen: Music from the Films of Barbra Streisand is not a compilation of actual Streisand tunes, but rather a series of instrumental excerpts from the scores of films in which Streisand acted and/or sang. In spite of the fact that Streisand does not appear, it's actually a fairly strong collection that will appeal to her fans, since it covers nearly every major motion picture she is associated with. Much of the music is performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic, and as a bonus, there's a condensed version of music from "Yentl: Suite for Harp and Orchestra," a piece not available on that film's soundtrack. Although these aren't the original soundtrack recordings, they still make a very nice package overall.
