AllMusic Review by Joe Silva

With more frequent-flier miles than a State Department envoy and the sort of generic good looks that could land him a walk-on role in a designer jeans ad, Dutch DJ Sander Kleinenberg has all the earmarks of a world-class turntablist poised to join the big leagues. Kleinenberg traffics mostly in mid-tempo deep house/soul and tribal tracks that are almost as consistently faceless as they are smoothly delivered. Partially known amongst serious dance-heads for his "My Lexicon" track championed in Sasha's Global Underground: Ibiza collection, Kleinenberg contributes none of his own material to this collection, choosing instead extended snoozers like Bluephaze's "The Bell" and Peace Division's "Seriously Twisted" (which isn't, really). Where this release gets mildly tolerable is when Kleinenberg sandwiches in a bit of Funky Green Dogs ("Burnin' Up") or when he drops Blackwatch and Greed's "Gentle Rain." If Kleinenberg is hoping to speak to his audience, as the truly gifted among disc-spinners do, the message he's sending is that he wasn't necessarily paying attention to the name of this series when he submitted this mix.
