Espècies Per Catalogar is the second full studio album by Els Amics de les Arts, yet another charming act associated with the new wave of Catalan folk-rock. With the support of producer Ferran Conangla, the group continues to shape its sound over 12 new acoustic-tinged songs with subtle electronica backgrounds, led by the quartet's trademark cooperative singing (all four members share vocal duties). The overall mood is warm and reflective, with lyrics of lighthearted irony often dedicated to offbeat characters, such as the single "Monsieur Cousteau'' and "L'Home Que Dobla en Bruce Willis.''
