AllMusic Review by

The notorious Dr. Walker -- whose previous Tone Casualties release was a cooperative effort with the even more notorious Holger Czukay, formerly of Can -- here provides an impressive two-disc collection of European trip-hop, experimental dub, and avant-funk. Don't feel dumb if you haven't heard of these bands -- they seem to be mainly from the Cologne, Germany, scene. In any case, the music is all lots of fun. Nothing to alter your perceptions of the universe or change your orientation to club culture, but plenty of good, funky, spacey beats. Mood, tempos, and general tone are fairly consistent, but there's enough complexity of texture and rhythm to make the program consistently interesting; highlights include the strange but funky "Some People Luv Ferraris" by Cosmopolis, the jazzy but also quite funky and very sexy "Girl_Talk" by Wulfmanson, and B.W.A.'s slowly simmering "Tarpit Tango." Highly recommended to aficionados of fine beats and to those who frequent obscure dance clubs.
