Escapade is a somewhat uneven release from zouk crooner Harry Diboula. The album's first and last tracks are worthy of attention, but between the two there is a lack of the spark and suavity that's Diboula's signature. Even with the banjo and vocals of Kali, the album does not take off. The drumming on the first track is strong and one expects more of the same, but that isn't the case. One track lapses into what is very close to the Euro-techno blight. There is also a limp ballad that doesn't counter any momentum that should precede it. With exception of the two tracks mentioned, this is a weak album and not up to what Harry Diboula can do.
