Entertainment Weekly's Greatest Hits 1984 continues the magazine's year-by-year retrospective of popular music with a collection of new wave, pop, and R&B. This volume includes Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon," the Eurythmics' "Here Comes the Rain Again," John Waite's "Missing You," and Ray Parker, Jr.'s "Ghostbusters." Hall & Oates' "Out of Touch" and Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" are two other highlights from this album; though it's not comprehensive, it is a solid, affordable overview of early-'80s singles.
