Entertainment Weekly's Greatest Hits 1973 continues the magazine's year-by-year retrospective of popular music with a collection of soul, pop, and rock favorites. This volume includes the O'Jays' "Love Train," Gladys Knight & The Pips' "Midnight Train to Georgia," Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side," and Stealer's Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle With You." Sweet's "Little Willy" and Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" are two of the other highlights of this compilation; though it's not comprehensive, it is a solid, affordable overview of early-'70s singles.
