This Frankie Ruiz effort seems somewhat marred, mainly because of the singer's troublesome career and careless lifestyle, but managed to grab plenty of attention in its time. Some of Ruiz's sidemen who appear here -- in something of an anomaly of the times -- include musical director Willie Sotelo, bongo player Carlos Santiago, timbalero Richard Ríos, and trombone player Jorge Díaz. The hits: "Me Acostumbre" and the swinging "Solo por Ti."
