The digital download release of the music from Empire's seventh episode consists of four songs. It leads with Courtney Love, who portrays Cookie's comeback project Elle Dallas and delivers "Walk Out on Me," a plaintive ballad that's both raw and elegant with throwback touches, like a slightly eerie layer that could be Mellotron strings (or an approximation of them). It's much different, of course, from what follows. Jussie Smollett and Yazz awkwardly appropriate Dire Straits on "Money for Nothing." The "107 Edit" of "Live in the Moment" differs only slightly from the original version released in the bundle of tracks from the pilot episode. Over the stuttering percussion and knotty acoustic guitar on "You're So Beautiful," Terrence Howard (Lucius Lyon) humorously attempts to quell his woman's self-doubt with lines like "But even with no manicure, baby girl I'll hold your hand" and "You got me watching you like a camera do."
