AllMusic Review by

Raw, stripped-down bluegrass and country by this quartet, including Jesse Winchester's "The Brand New Tennessee Waltz" and Johnny Cash's "I Still Believe Someone," as well as a brace of originals. There were no new horizons in music here, but in 1970 the record was a breath of fresh air amid the country-pop that was getting downright ubiquitous.
