Fulanito's El Padrino is an intriguing fusion of rap and Latin dance music played on live instruments, which gives it a much more organic sound than the synths and drum machines which often dominate Latin club music. Not only that, but when the rap vocals are featured, they flow along with the distinctly Latin rhythms, rather than appropriating a more traditional funk-based approach. The end result is extremely well done and makes one hungry for more.
